The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) has revamped its cotton procurement process to make it more efficient and farmer-friendly with the launch of the “Kapas Kisan” mobile app and the expansion of its procurement centres across major cotton-growing regions. The new app enables farmers to register easily, check daily cotton prices, and track payments directly, ensuring transparency and faster transactions. By increasing the number of procurement centres, CCI aims to provide better accessibility to farmers, reduce middlemen involvement, and ensure that they receive fair Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for their produce. This initiative marks a significant step toward digital empowerment and modernization in India’s agricultural sector.
